Longing for the day

We’re stuck in this moment

I know I’ve been blind
not able to see
My heart keeps telling me
our love will fade away
And I fear that maybe,
maybe one day
You’ll let go of your feelings
Kill me with the truth
When ”I love you”
are the words you won’t say
I fear to face the moment
you’ll only be my friend
I fear the day you’ll tell me
our journey’s reached the end
And now I fear so badly
the day I say the same:
”Loving you
was never my aim”
So now I suffer
now I cry
When you act like you do
inside, I die
As I try to move on
and ignore this pain
I fear...
Fear not to love again
But thought I'd give it a shot anyway.

Ah, it's not forbidden love, it's just we doesn't swing that way, for girls, let's put it that way. We still love each other more than anything though.
If we could just be friends again, and get over the upset that breaking up did to our friendship, everything would be fine, and we'd be the bestest of friends once again, then I'd be truly happy.
